Hi, and welcome to To Live Life Boldly.
I decided to create this website so that I could share some of the things that I’ve learned in my life in the hope that it may help others. What I’ve learned personally from experience and in specialized areas that I have studied.
I’ve spent years and a small fortune educating myself in some of the subjects that I have been particularly interested in. And now that I’ve sorted through a lot of what I’ve done I want to share what I know has helped me and others.
It was mainly during the years between 1992 and early 2005 that I got totally immersed in just learning. I studied so many areas all to do with human development there was so much learning I can’t even list everything here.
I’ve continued to expand my learning and experiences over the years since then but in a more focused fashion. In the areas that held the most interest for me.
This all began for me from my own personal needs and interests. It was at a period when I could indulge myself with the time to focus more on myself. I was going through some major life changes. My children were grown and out leading their own lives and I was going through a separation then divorce.
Originally I did all this research and training for my own benefit and not because I was chasing a career in anything specific. I already had a career, but due to the changes happening in my own life I had started to search for answers.
It lead me to do a lot of personal development and the more I did the more I wanted to know.
The main foundation of my learning was built many years ago. And as I’m writing this and thinking back I realize just how much I have done. I recall that I went to a Tony Robins live event almost 30 years ago. About the same time I’d also attended an event of Bob Proctor’s (from ‘The Secret’) and lots of others.
I also read lots of books of Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Stephen Covey, Caroline Myss and more. It was also around that time that I first read the book ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill .
I read so many books and listened to many courses on tape. On top of that I participated in a 3 part seminar series ‘The Pursuit of Excellence’, ‘The Wall’ and ‘The Commencement’. It’s based on how we operate as human beings. This was an amazing experience that really pushes you out of your comfort zone and opens you up to who you really are.
These were events where you had to participate in and not just be an observer, and also you had to complete one part to advance to the next.
From that I went on to study and get certified in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). It was also during mid 90’s that I began my Life Coach training, at that time it was quite new and few people knew what it was.
I’ve also trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) this therapy has been proven to be very effective with PTSD post traumatic stress disorder. I also learned EFT Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping method) and solution focused counseling.
The 90’s and early 2000 particularly were a very busy and interesting time for me. Much more recently among others I’ve studied is Marisa Peer known for Rapid transformational therapy and hypnotherapy who’s work I also find fascinating and very helpful.
From of all that I’ve studied and learned my main personal interests are in self growth and how to change your life. I was also more interested in specific ways because of how quickly people can start seeing results. I know traditional therapy can be beneficial for a lot of people but it can be very long drawn out and many seem to become almost addicted to it.
I don’t like to see anyone get hooked into doing something for months or even years especially when they could possibly get the results they need way sooner.
Some of my preferred tools are NLP, which is basically how we take in information and then how we process it. Also life coaching which can also be very powerful and the sub conscious mind and Mind Power how our thoughts affect our lives. This also then in some ways leads into manifestation and the law of attraction.
All of these particularly have taken me in the direction of self discovery and life change.
I’ve worked with individuals and groups using what I’ve learned and experienced. There’s just too much to mention here. But my experience has been most beneficial to me plus I have been able help others discover their strengths and make positive changes in their lives.
I hope you too will find here some tools to help you discover what you want and how to get it!
